3 Ways You Can Improve Hormone Production and Balance

Hormones perform a number of important functions but primarily serve as a body’s chemical messengers.

As is common knowledge, endocrine glands produce these hormones that men use in their testes and which women use in their ovaries.

So, it goes without saying that producing an adequate amount of hormones bodes well for one’s health.

That said, here are 3 ways by which you can improve hormone production and balance:

#1: Reduce your intake of Caffeine

While coffee might be your favorite beverage, it does affect your endocrine system negatively especially if there are hormone stressors such as pregnancy, stress or the presence of toxins. If this is the situation you find yourself in, then it’s time to cut down on the amount of coffee you have while opting for herbal teas instead.

#2: Avoid High Omega-6 Polyunsaturated Fats

These fats are found in vegetable oils but not healthy for consumption. Unfortunately, with the presence of oxidized fats, this causes inflammation and mutation in cells. In arterial cells, these mutations can clog arteries while also causing skin cancer when they are added as building blocks to skin cells. Alternatively, consume foods that offer monounsaturated and saturated fats instead as these are required for optimum health.

#3: Get as much sleep as possible

No matter what, get as much sleep as possible. Your hormones won’t be balanced if you don’t. But that’s not all – ensure that you improve the quality of your sleep by not only consuming food and supplements but also employing therapy that facilitates better sleep.
